Captain Oliver Groves said there were little positives to draw from the confrontation, other than that the Pythons had "defended really well for the first half, we'd just lost our breath in the last 20 minutes. We played some unreal footy in the first half," he said, whilst the team had been let down "by a few guys out of position, which made a massive difference in the end".
"The game against Yeoval was tough, very physical and we lacked the numbers on the day," he said "Yeoval had struggled for numbers for years, and this year they've created a strong side."
With numbers on the day being a deciding factor, Groves said the main objective for the next two weeks was to get the side training, and consolidate ahead of matches against Trangie and Molong.
"We hope to get a full squad," he said.
