Their beautiful mother Layla (imported by Altina all the way from Africa) welcomes one boy and one1 girl into the world.
Layla was unable to provide for these kittens just a few days after birth and displayed signs of frustration in her inability to care for her young.
Thanks to Altina's amazing Animal Care team, Layla was spared the stress of persisting with the kittens and allowed the team to raise the kittens on her behalf.
Over the last couple months these amazing spotted and striped Serval Kittens have had around the clock love and care, with their welfare as a main priority which in turn assisted in optimum health results thus ensuring that they grew together as inseparable, troublesome litter mates!
Did you know Servals are also known as the 'Giraffe Cat', thanks to their long legs and neck?
They also have the largest ears of any cat in proportion to their size.
An approximate human equivalent would be ears the size of dinner plates.
The baby boy "Kofi" (pronounced Koh-fi, meaning Born on Friday In Ghanian) and the little girl "Nia" (pronounced Ny-ah- meaning Purpose, Aim, Goal in Swahili), have zoomed their way into the hearts of the entire Altina team by pouncing on all the laps, smooching faces and constantly purring while soaking up all the attention.
Adorable little time wasters.
Their play is continuous and the word Sassy is an understatement.
Kofi and& Nia are welcoming visitors to play with them via a Sassy Serval behind the scenes encounter.
Cuddle, play and admire these amazing kittens as they grow, learn and experience life at Altina Wildlife Park under the watchful eye of their natural and adoptive parents.
This is an experience for all cat lovers that you will never forget!
